The firm represents two national banks, as well as smaller financial
institutions, and commercial and residential mortgage lenders.
Our firm has represented lenders in all phases of consumer and
commercial lending, including the preparation of lending commitments
and the negotiation and closing of commercial real estate and
secured loans. Our firm's banking department has extensive experience
in transactional work in preparing documents and closing asset-based
loans, mortgage loans and line of credit loans. Our firm has
also participated as bank counsel, underwriter's counsel and
trustee's counsel in industrial revenue bond transactions.
Our banking
practice includes the protection of creditors' rights in workouts,
foreclosures and bankruptcy proceedings. Our firm has represented
the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Resolution Trust
Corporation, the NYS Housing Finance Agency, and several financial
institutions in the foreclosure of numerous residential and
commercial properties, including regional shopping centers,
office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels, assisted living
facilities and marinas. Our partner has lectured for the New
York State Bar Association continuing legal education seminars
on the subject of mortgage foreclosures.
Our firm's
banking department also has extensive bankruptcy experience
in representing secured and unsecured creditors in all phases
of bankruptcy practice, including valuation hearings and secured
creditor liquidations. Our firm represented a secured lender
in the Bennett Funding Group bankruptcy.

Rights
The Firm's commercial and consumer debt collection practice
is large enough to be fully automated yet small enough to give
hands-on service to its clients. We presently represent three
large and several small local banks, several money-center banks,
and numerous other in- and out-of-state financial institutions
and commercial collection clients. The firm also assists several
major hospitals with their recovery needs.
The firm
has an active bankruptcy practice ranging from automated, expedited
handling of routine motions to creditor representation in the
largest Chapter 11 cases.
The firm's
geographic reach is statewide. This gives the client the advantage
of one-stop shopping, ease in referrals, and reporting. The
firm scrupulously adheres to the requirements of the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act.

Estate
Our firm
is fully-staffed for the purpose of representing financial institutions
at the closing of residential real estate transactions. We pride
ourselves in providing professional and quality services in
the high volume context of residential real estate, including
review of all documents of concern to the lender at closing,
obtaining and reviewing all necessary title insurance and survey
documentation, coordinating the time and place of closing, and
disbursing funds as appropriate to complete the transaction.
